This was a request from a friend awhile back. Up until that point, I had yet to draw any sort of feline or cat-type, but I was relatively happy with how this came out.

It would have come out better had I not drawn in all the fur.

Cool transformation. ^_^ I like the colors.

That seems to be one of my most popular pieces. And people always comment about the color, even though i almost drowned it out in those ugly black lines of fur. I've often been tempted to go back and try that one again...

Thanks for the comment!
Good that the lion has no stallion-size equipment like too many lion furs. :-) His head is OK but overall the body doesn't look much feline; besides of muscles it remembers a lot a werewolf. You might want to seek a good atlas on human and animal anathomy given your interest in transformations, those with a lot of anatomy tables (they shouldn't be too hard to find with huge discounts at remainders') and draw a lot of single muscles/bones, arms, legs, etc. Designing even single intermediate limbs is a good exercise. :-)
No one has ever made that comment about his budy looking more lupine than feline, but I see your point. If I were to do it again, I would not try to draw in the fur the same way I did here. All those black lines take away from the coloring, and give it that wolf-like appearance.

I have been starting to use reference materials like anatomy tables to give me a better idea of how the human body (and animal bodies) are structured. This has been a big help. Sometimes I practice by just drawing single limbs so that I'll have more practice when I go to draw.

The pieces you have been commenting on are older pictures I've done, but hopefully I will continue to improve. Thank you very much for your comments. They are really appreciated.
